SOPHIE ANTOINE
🇪🇸 Sophie Antoine – Colaboradora, maestra y coreógrafa invitada
Sophie se formó en danza en Francia, en la Offjazz Professional School de Niza y en el Conservatoire National Le Grand Avignon. Comenzó su carrera profesional como bailarina en Ballet Biarritz Junior (2007–2008) y posteriormente en Dantzaz Konpainia (2008–2010) bajo la dirección de Adriana Pous, donde creó su primera coreografía, Dis-Connected, que permaneció en el repertorio de la compañía durante dos años.
Entre 2010 y 2017 fue solista en Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett bajo la dirección de Goyo Montero, interpretando un repertorio diverso que incluye obras de Goyo Montero, Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Mauro Bigonzetti, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin y muchos otros. Durante este período, también creó Ubuntu y Rose des Vents.
Desde 2017 ha desarrollado varias coreografías independientes, entre ellas Out of the Frame, Oxy, Octopus y Visceral, un dúo creado junto a Óscar Alonso que fue semifinalista en el 24º Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos–Nueva York. Asimismo, lideró la producción y coreografía de Narrenschiff para el Germanisches Nationalmuseum en Núremberg, un proyecto de danza intergeneracional.
Sophie es docente invitada en Mind And Dance Professional Dance School, donde en 2022 fue directora artística del departamento de Danza Profesional y Pedagogía. Colabora regularmente con el Estudio de Danza Ana Baigorri como coreógrafa, docente y coach del alumnado, contribuyendo a la formación de jóvenes bailarines y a proyectos de creación compartida. Su colaboración con Ana Baigorri dio lugar al programa doble Entre Flores y Naranjos, estrenado en residencia en La Nave del Duende (Casar de Cáceres), que combina Out of the Frame de Sophie con ATMOS de Ana.
Su carrera integra interpretación, coreografía y enseñanza, destacando por la colaboración intercultural, prácticas inclusivas y enfoques innovadores en la danza. La experiencia de Sophie como intérprete y creadora le permite aportar una visión única a las co-creaciones, fomentando la confianza, la experimentación y la exploración de nuevos lenguajes dramaturgicos y coreográficos.
🇬🇧 Sophie Antoine – Collaborator and Guest Choreographer
Sophie trained in dance in France at the Offjazz Professional School in Nice and at the Conservatoire National Le Grand Avignon. She began her professional career as a dancer with Ballet Biarritz Junior (2007–2008) and then with Dantzaz Konpainia (2008–2010) under the direction of Adriana Pous, where she created her first choreography, Dis-Connected, which remained in the company’s repertoire for two years.
From 2010 to 2017, she was a soloist at Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett under the direction of Goyo Montero, performing a diverse repertoire including works by Goyo Montero, Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Mauro Bigonzetti, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, and many others. During this period, she also created Ubuntu and Rose des Vents.
Since 2017, she has developed several independent choreographies, including Out of the Frame, Oxy, Octopus, and Visceral—a duet created jointly with Óscar Alonso, which was a semifinalist at the 24th Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos–Nueva York. She also led the production and choreography of Narrenschiff for the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nürnberg, an intergenerational dance project.
Sophie is a guest teacher at Mind And Dance Professional Dance School, where she served as artistic director of the Professional Dance and Pedagogy department in 2022. She collaborates regularly with the Ana Baigorri Dance Studio as a choreographer, teacher, and student coach, contributing to the training of young dancers and co-creation projects. Their collaboration led to the creation of the double program Entre Flores y Naranjos, premiered in residence at La Nave del Duende (Casar de Cáceres), pairing Sophie’s Out of the Frame with Ana’s ATMOS.
Her career integrates performance, choreography, and teaching, emphasizing cross-cultural collaboration, inclusive practices, and innovative approaches to dance. Sophie’s experience as both performer and creator enables her to contribute a unique vision to co-creations, fostering trust, experimentation, and the exploration of new dramaturgical and choreographic languages.
OSCAR ALONSO
🇪🇸 Oscar Alonso Lairado – Colaborador y coreógrafo invitado
(Badajoz, España) comenzó a bailar a los cinco años, creciendo inmerso en las artes escénicas bajo la influencia de su padre, actor y director de teatro. Se formó en el Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma (2005–2009), interpretando obras de Nacho Duato, George Balanchine, Hans Van Manen y otros. Durante sus primeros años profesionales, participó en producciones como Romeo y Julieta de Juan Carlos Santamaría y La Gioconda en el Teatro Real de Madrid, coreografiada por Gheorghe Iancu.
En 2009, Óscar se incorporó al Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett, donde ha trabajado como primer bailarín y solista durante más de 16 años. Actualmente continúa actuando bajo la dirección de Richard Siegal, ampliando su visión artística con nuevas perspectivas. Ha interpretado roles principales en Cyrano de Bergerac, Don Quijote, Sueño de una noche de verano y La Bella Durmiente, entre otros, trabajando con coreógrafos de renombre como Mats Ek, Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Mauro Bigonzetti, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter y Johan Inger. Como asistente de Goyo Montero en Die Zauberflöte (La flauta mágica), adquirió experiencia dirigiendo bailarines, cantantes y coros.
Como coreógrafo, su trabajo se ha presentado en Staatstheater Nürnberg (Look Up, Day 100, New Beginning), Schauspielhaus Nürnberg (Vendetta Vendetta), Staatstheater Cottbus (We Live in a World of Freedom), Museo UNAV y Teatro Principal de Burgos. Junto a Sophie Antoine, fue semifinalista en el 24º Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos–Nueva York por el dúo Visceral.
Desde 2016, Óscar representa a los bailarines en Staatstheater Nürnberg, colaborando con la administración teatral e instituciones políticas, adquiriendo experiencia en el marco legal y organizativo de la danza profesional. Su trayectoria combina interpretación, coreografía, mentoría y defensa del sector, apoyando el desarrollo de proyectos de danza internacionales, inclusivos y de alta calidad.
🇬🇧 Óscar Alonso – Collaborator and Guest Choreographer
(Badajoz, Spain) began dancing at the age of five, growing up immersed in the performing arts under the influence of his father, an actor and theatre director. He trained at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma (2005–2009), performing works by Nacho Duato, George Balanchine, Hans Van Manen, and others. Early in his career, he appeared in productions such as Romeo and Juliet by Juan Carlos Santamaría and La Gioconda at Madrid’s Teatro Real, choreographed by Gheorghe Iancu.
In 2009, Óscar joined Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett, where he has worked as a principal dancer and soloist for over 16 years. He continues to perform under the direction of Richard Siegal, broadening his artistic vision with new perspectives. He has danced leading roles in Cyrano de Bergerac, Don Quixote, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Sleeping Beauty, among others, performing works by renowned choreographers such as Mats Ek, Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Mauro Bigonzetti, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, and Johan Inger. As assistant to Goyo Montero for Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), he gained experience leading dancers, opera singers, and choirs.
As a choreographer, his work has been presented at Staatstheater Nürnberg (Look Up, Day 100, New Beginning), Schauspielhaus Nürnberg (Vendetta Vendetta), Staatstheater Cottbus (We Live in a World of Freedom), Museo UNAV, and Teatro Principal de Burgos. Together with Sophie Antoine, he was a semifinalist at the 24th Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos–Nueva York for the duet Visceral.
Since 2016, Óscar has represented the dancers at Staatstheater Nürnberg, collaborating with theatre administration and political institutions, gaining expertise in the legal and organizational framework of professional dance. His career combines performance, choreography, mentorship, and advocacy, supporting the development of international, inclusive, and high-quality dance projects.
RAFAEL RIVERO HERVIS

Rafael Rivero Hervis cuenta con una trayectoria destacada como bailarín principal en compañías de renombre como la Compañía Nacional de Danza bajo la dirección de Nacho Duato, el Ballet Real de Flandes, la Ópera de Zúrich y el Ballet Nacional de Cuba. Ha participado en importantes producciones para el Teatro Real y la Fundación Juan March, y ha sido invitado a actuar en la Ópera de Núremberg.
Además, posee experiencia en televisión y cine, colaborando en numerosos proyectos como actor y coreógrafo, consolidándose como una referencia en el mundo del ballet.
🇬🇧 Rafael Rivero Hervis – Guest Teacher
Rafael Rivero Hervis has had a distinguished career as a principal dancer in prestigious companies, including the Compañía Nacional de Danza under Nacho Duato, the Royal Ballet of Flanders, the Zurich Opera, and the National Ballet of Cuba. He has participated in major productions at the Teatro Real and the Juan March Foundation, and has been invited to perform at the Nuremberg Opera.
He also has experience in television and film, collaborating on numerous projects as an actor and choreographer, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the world of ballet.
SEBASTIAN MARI
🇪🇸 Sébastien Mari – Maestro Invitado
Maestro de ballet internacional, director artístico, ayudante de dirección y docente desde 2012, inició su carrera como bailarín profesional en 1989. Ha trabajado en numerosas compañías de prestigio, entre ellas Jeune Ballet de France, Nederlands Dans Theater, Compañía Nacional de Danza, Ballet Gulbenkian, Ballett Mainz, Ballet de Genève, Ballet du Rhin, Ballet de Moscú, Leipziger Ballett, Basel Ballett, Tanz Mannheim, BalletX, Introdans y Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha interpretado las principales obras del repertorio neoclásico y contemporáneo europeo y ha sido asistente de coreógrafos de renombre como Ohad Naharin, Jiří Kylián, David Dawson, Johan Inger y Jeroen Verbruggen.
Ha desarrollado un método propio de entrenamiento de ballet e improvisación y ofrece talleres en centros y compañías internacionales. Sébastien imparte clases y masterclasses de ballet que son útiles, dinámicas y desafiantes para bailarines de ballet, danza española y contemporáneo.
🇬🇧 Sébastien Mari – Guest Teacher
International ballet master, artistic director, assistant director, and teacher since 2012, he began his professional career as a dancer in 1989. He has worked with numerous prestigious companies, including Jeune Ballet de France, Nederlands Dans Theater, Compañía Nacional de Danza, Ballet Gulbenkian, Ballett Mainz, Ballet de Genève, Ballet du Rhin, Moscow Ballet, Leipziger Ballett, Basel Ballett, Tanz Mannheim, BalletX, Introdans, and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.
Throughout his career, he has performed major works from the European neoclassical and contemporary repertoire and has assisted renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Jiří Kylián, David Dawson, Johan Inger, and Jeroen Verbruggen.
He has developed his own method for ballet training and improvisation and conducts workshops at international schools and companies. Sébastien offers ballet classes and masterclasses that are practical, dynamic, and challenging for dancers of classical ballet, Spanish dance, and contemporary dance.
MARILISA GALLICCHIO
🇪🇸 Marilisa Gallicchio – Maestra y coreógrafa invitada
Bailarina y creadora de danza contemporánea con una sólida formación clásica y contemporánea, graduada en Coreografía e Interpretación por el Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila de Madrid. Desde 2019 es bailarina de la compañía Marcat Dance, dirigida por el coreógrafo Mario Bermúdez y la bailarina Catherine Coury, donde participa activamente en los procesos creativos y en la interpretación de numerosas producciones, entre ellas Preludio, Orpheu’s Fall, ADAMA, Huesos de Madera, El Bosque, Averno y Rhythm.
A lo largo de su trayectoria ha actuado en importantes teatros y auditorios de la península ibérica y ha participado en reconocidos festivales internacionales de danza contemporánea en Europa, América y Asia, como Festival Prisma (Panamá), APAP Showcases (Nueva York), Bienal de Danza de Cali y Danza en la Ciudad de Bogotá, SZIGET Festival (Budapest), Festival Baila España del Instituto Cervantes de Bremen, The Greater Bay Area Dance Festival (Shenzhen) y Dansa en Tránsito (Brasil). En 2025 forma parte del cuerpo de baile del artista italiano Liberato en el concierto celebrado en el Circo Massimo de Roma, bajo la coreografía de Mireia Ruiz Novas.
Compagina su labor escénica con la docencia, la asistencia coreográfica en proyectos y workshops nacionales e internacionales, como la Escuela Profesional de Danza Ana Laguna de Burgos y el Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila de Madrid. Ha sido reconocida con diversos premios internacionales y nominaciones, entre ellas su nominación a Mejor Intérprete Femenina de Danza Contemporánea en los Premios Max y los Premios Lorca de las Artes Escénicas.
De su reciente colaboración con el Estudio de Danza Ana Baigorri (Badajoz) surge, Unexpected, que presentamos como una de las nuevas creaciones en el programa mixto de Horizonte Inclusión.
🇬🇧 Marilisa Gallicchio – Guest Teacher and choreographer
Contemporary dancer and creator with a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary dance, she graduated in Choreography and Performance from the María de Ávila Higher Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. Since 2019, she has been a dancer with Marcat Dance, directed by choreographer Mario Bermúdez and dancer Catherine Coury, where she actively contributes to creative processes and performs in numerous productions, including Preludio, Orpheu’s Fall, ADAMA, Huesos de Madera, El Bosque, Averno, and Rhythm.
Throughout her career, she has performed in major theatres and auditoriums across the Iberian Peninsula and has taken part in renowned international contemporary dance festivals in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, such as Festival Prisma (Panama), APAP Showcases (New York), the Cali Dance Biennial, Danza en la Ciudad in Bogotá, SZIGET Festival (Budapest), the Baila España Festival by the Instituto Cervantes in Bremen, The Greater Bay Area Dance Festival (Shenzhen), and Dansa en Tránsito (Brazil). In 2025, she joined the corps de ballet of Italian artist Liberato for a concert at Circo Massimo in Rome, under the choreography of Mireia Ruiz Novas.
She combines her stage career with teaching, choreographic assistance, and leading workshops in national and international projects, including the Ana Laguna Professional Dance School in Burgos and the María de Ávila Higher Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. She has received several international awards and nominations, including a nomination for Best Female Contemporary Dance Performer at the Max Awards and the Lorca Performing Arts Awards.
Her recent collaboration with the Ana Baigorri Dance Studio (Badajoz) has led to the creation of Unexpected, which we present as one of the new works in this mixed programme of Horizonte Inclusión.
SARAH LISETTE CHIESA
🇪🇸 Sarah Lisette Chiesa – Maestra y coreógrafa invitada
Sarah Lisette Chiesa es una artista interdisciplinaria de performance que ha vivido y trabajado en Estados Unidos, Europa, México y Venezuela. Asistió a la North Carolina School of the Arts durante la secundaria, obtuvo su licenciatura en Bellas Artes (BFA) en SUNY Purchase College en 2004, un posgrado en Coreografía enSEAD en 2014, y su maestría en Bellas Artes (MFA) en la Universidad de Washington en 2020. En 2016, estudió moldeo corporal y escultura en la Canossa Scuola di Scultura en Reggio Emilia, Italia.
Sarah trabaja con Shen Wei Dance Arts desde 2008. También ha interpretado obras de Kazuko Hirabayashi, Noemie Lafrance, Tania Pérez-Salas, Stefan Dreher, Hubert Lepka, Yang Liang, Franca Ferrari, Brian Brooks, Daniel Charon, Susan Marshall y Sidra Bell. Como intérprete, recientemente finalizó una gira de siete semanas por China con Shen Wei Dance Arts en su 25º aniversario.
Como artista interdisciplinaria, Sarah ha colaborado con artistas como Dom Bouffard, John Mattuizzi, Jacopo Foggini, Yuval Avital, Pier Giorgio Casotti, Mario Vighi, Fabrizio Orsi, Kitka Ensemble, Dorien Silec con Robert Wilson, Karmina Silec y Ana Baigorri. Fue asistente de dirección de Karmina Silec y Paola Prestini en la ópera basada en El viejo y el mar de Hemingway, recientemente de gira por Estados Unidos.
Como educadora, ha impartido clases en instituciones como Aterballetto, Balletto di Toscana y CIMD Milán (Italia), la School of Performing Arts de Bangalore (India), la Universidad de Washington y la Dominican University en colaboración con Lines Ballet. Actualmente es profesora adjunta de danza en la Universidad de Arizona.
Sarah ha trabajado durante ya dos veranos en Badajoz, España, en colaboración con Ana Baigorri Danza, como parte del Festival de BADAYORK. Un intercambio cultural internacional en el que ha actuado en las dos ediciones previas como coreógrafa, intérprete y docente.
Entre otros frutos resultantes de la colaboración con Sarah, hemos contado con su obra Behind Closed Doors como parte del repertorio; la cual hemos podido compartir en Badajoz en IFEBA para la Feria de los Mayores (2025).
🇬🇧 Sarah Lisette Chiesa – Guest Teacher and Choreographer
Sarah Lisette Chiesa is an interdisciplinary performance artist who has lived and worked in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Venezuela. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts during high school, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from SUNY Purchase College in 2004, completed a postgraduate degree in Choreography at SEAD in 2014, and obtained her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Washington in 2020. In 2016, she studied body casting and sculpture at the Canossa School of Sculpture in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Sarah has been working with Shen Wei Dance Arts since 2008. She has also performed works by Kazuko Hirabayashi, Noemie Lafrance, Tania Pérez-Salas, Stefan Dreher, Hubert Lepka, Yang Liang, Franca Ferrari, Brian Brooks, Daniel Charon, Susan Marshall, and Sidra Bell. As a performer, she recently completed a seven-week tour across China with Shen Wei Dance Arts for the company’s 25th anniversary.
As an interdisciplinary artist, Sarah has collaborated with artists such as Dom Bouffard, John Mattuizzi, Jacopo Foggini, Yuval Avital, Pier Giorgio Casotti, Mario Vighi, Fabrizio Orsi, Kitka Ensemble, Dorien Silec with Robert Wilson, Karmina Silec, and Ana Baigorri. She has presented her performance work in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Montreal, Italy, Austria, Venezuela, Chile, Spain, and India. She also served as assistant director to Karmina Silec and Paola Prestini on the opera based on The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, which has recently toured the United States.
As an educator, she has taught at institutions such as Aterballetto, Balletto di Toscana, and CIMD Milan (Italy), the School of Performing Arts in Bangalore (India), the University of Washington, and Dominican University in collaboration with Lines Ballet. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Arizona.
Sarah has worked for two consecutive summers in Badajoz, Spain, in collaboration with Ana Baigorri Danza as part of the BADAYORK Festival—an international cultural exchange where she has participated in previous editions as a choreographer, performer, and teacher.
Among the outcomes of this collaboration is her work Behind Closed Doors, which has formed part of the company’s repertoire and was presented in Badajoz at IFEBA during the Feria de los Mayores (2025).
